Hey there!

A very easy game with which you can create your own Manga. If you’re only going for the trophies, you’re done in less than an hour.

What is the game all about?

Actually, Manga Kakeru isn’t a game, it’s more a tool with which you can create your own Manga. Even though it’s only in Japanese, it’s very self-explanatory and has a great tutorial. Thus, you shouldn’t have too many problems with creating your own Manga.

The “game” has a lot predefined characters, but you can also create your own. There are also a lot of backgrounds, speech balloons, effects… you can use for you Manga. And if you’re done, you can also upload your Manga to a webpage, where you can share it with the community.

What about trophies?

The trophies of this game are very easy if you know what to do. You can easily unlock the Platinum Trophy in less than an hour. For this, you have to reach all 4 different ending of the tutorial, and do some miscellaneous stuff like unlocking hidden content or using some effects. The most annoying trophy is, to save the game on 30 consecutive days. Luckily, you can abuse the internal clock of your PS4 for this.

Manga Kakeru is available digital only in the JP PSN store. To find it, you have to search for マンガ・カ・ケール. It has been released for PS4 and Vita, with each version having its own stack.

Platinum #312: Old Man’s Journey

Hey there!

A nice little adventure of an old man. Can be completed in less than 2 hours.

What is the game all about?

Old Man’s Journey start with you (the old man) receiving a letter. What’s written in the letter isn’t revealed, but it must be something important, as you immediately leave your home and make your way to the sender.

To reach the sender, you must solve some puzzles and move the landscape to reach new areas. None of the puzzles are hard and you should be able to solve all of them within short time. Every now and then, you reach an important place of the old man’s life. You then will sit down and start thinking about your past. Those memories will reveal a little bit of the backstory.

The game is incredibly slow-paced and you never feel in a hurry. The story is okay but the ending is very sad.

What about trophies?

There are only a few story-related trophies. The majority of the trophies are for interacting with other characters or doing some miscellaneous stuff. Thus, they can be missed easily. Luckily, there’s chapter select available after beating the game.

Platinum #311: BRIKS (NA)

Hey there!

If you’re a fan of brick breaker games, you can’t go wrong with this one. Easy, but enjoyable.

What is the game all about?

BRIKS is a typical brick breaker game. You’re launching a ball from your paddle, and try to destroy all bricks without losing the ball.

Each level has a different arrangement of bricks as well as a different background. Some of the levels can be really tough, luckily there are various power-ups (multi-ball, fireball, laser…), which will make your life easier. To unlock power-ups, you must destroy the yellow bricks. You can find a few of these bricks in each level.

Speaking of levels, there are a total of 50. The first 40 levels are unlocked straight from the beginning. You must beat them all to unlock the levels 41-49. As soon as you’ve beaten the last levels, level 50 will unlock. This levels is totally different from the others, as you don’t destroy bricks. Instead, you’re fighting a boss. To beat the boss, you must hit him many times.

Whenever you get stuck in a level, try to replay a few of the easy levels to rack up some lives. A good level for this would be 27. If you know how to beat this level, you can rack up 10+ lives within a few minutes. Having more lives means having more tries to beat a specific level. This is especially helpful for level 50.

What about trophies?

Most of the trophies are tied to power-ups or to beat specific levels. I wouldn’t play too much attention on trophies while playing the game, as most of them will unlock automatically. After you’ve beaten the game, check which trophies you’re missing and replay some levels. The clean-up shouldn’t take too long. The most annoying trophies might be getting 50k points in a level or getting the triple-fireball. For this, simply replay level 27 over and over again. Eventually, you’ll also unlock these trophies.

Nintendo Switch Akhirnya ke-Bajak

Kabar gembira atau kabar buruk bagi kita semua yang berkecimpung di dunia video games, Beberapa bulan yang lalu kabar ini mulai menyebar di internet, team hacker Xecuter akhirnya telah merelease sebuah Operating System (OS) yang jalan di Nintendo Switch dan berhasil meng-emulasi semua game di Nintendo Switch, dengan ini berarti Nintendo Switch sudah dinyatakan ke bobol sepenuhnya. Bug yang ada pada sistem hardware chip Nvidia Tegra X1 Nintendo Switch, membuat sistem keamanan console hybrid ini hanya bertahan 1 tahun saja. Bisa dibilang umur dari Switch ini cukup pendek, banyak user di luar sana yang khawatir akan hal ini, mereka khawatir kalo developer 3rd party dari Nintendo Switch ini akan lesu dalam membuat games di console hybrid tersebut. Hal ini tentunya sangat masuk akal, pasti pendapatan penjualan game dari developer akan berkurang drastis. Kalo menurut saya memang Nintendo Switch ini terlalu dini untuk bisa dibajak.

Dengan berita di atas tentunya menambah deretan list console/ handheld game yang sudah berhasil dibajak mulai dari PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, Xbox, Xbox360, Nintendo Wii, Wii U, Super Nintendo, Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast, Gamecube, PS Vita, PSP 3DS, NDS, GameBoy, N-Gage, dan Nintendo Switch. kalo di lihat di list di atas sebenarnya hampir semua console atau handheld sudah di jebol sistem keamanannya kecuali XBox One X. Sudah sejak jaman pertama kali console datang ke Indonesia sebenarnya kita sudah menggunakan sistem bajakan, namun kita sebagai user pada waktu itu tidak sadar kalau sudah menggunakan sistem bajakan, karena pada waktu itu kita beli kaset/ DVD jadi mengira kalau itu legal. Game dengan harga murah sudah masuk menjadi mindset kita sejak kecil, dan dalam pikiran kita, kita sudah beli consolenya mahal-mahal ini masih suruh beli gamenya dengan harga mahal lagi. Saya baru sadar harga game mahal di era PS3.

Kembali ke pembahasan Nintendo Switch, team hacker Xecuter yang merelease SX OS yang diklaim bisa berjalan di firmware terbaru 5.1.0 sehingga bisa memainkan semua list library game sampai game terbaru yang baru-baru ini release seperti Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus (29 Juni 2018). Namun tentunya kita harus merogoh kocek sedikit lebih dalam, karena SX OS ini sifatnya berbayar dan kita diminta untuk membeli lisensi seharga $24.95 atau di tokopedia seharga 600rb untuk hasil kerja keras para hacker ini. Lisensi berbayar ini tentunya menimbulkan pro dan kontra di kalangan usernya, apa lagi di website nintendolife.com muncul artikel yang mana dalam artikel tersebut mengatakan kalo dalam SX OS terdapat sebuah kode yang bisa membuat Nintendo Switch kita brick atau mati total jika kita mencoba untuk mengubah-ubah kode program di dalam SX OS, atau ini sebenarnya merupakan sistem keamanan dari hacker terhadap SX OS nya agar OS tersebut tidak digunakan oleh orang lain. Namun dari beberapa kasus Nintendo Switch yang tiba-tiba mati total bisa saja terjadi tanpa sebab alias terjadi secara acak tanpa di trigger.

Comementar-komentar user pada nintendolife.com juga cukup pedas, " Apakah ini sebuah lelucon, seorang pembajak tidak mau software bajakannya di bajak?", ada lagi komentar "Jadi, uh, pencipta alat yang digunakan untuk melanggar hak kekayaan intelektual merasa perlu melindungi hak kekayaan intelektual mereka sendiri dari pelanggaran?" dll. Cukup lucu juga kalo di pikir-pikir, kalo menurut saya sih harusnya Tools tersebut bersifat Open Source bukannya berbayar.

Tentunya bisnis video game ini merupakan sebuah bisnis yang cukup besar, menurut website forbes.com "Video games are a multi-billion dollar industry" dengan fakta pendapatan $99.6 billion sedangkan kalau dibandingkan dengan industri film Box Office Hollywood yang terlihat begitu glamor yang hanya mendapatkan pendapatan $36 billion di tahun 2016. Dengan angka itu tentunya banyak pihak yang mencoba mengalirkan dana ke kantong-kantong pribadi mereka yang memiliki kemampuan, maka dari itu pembajakan dalam dunia industri Video Games akan terus ada.
